This weekend, March 24-26, we are excited to be providing food for our sixth year at the Denver March Powwow! The Denver March Powwow is a wonderful event in its 43rd year, and we are proud to be able to take part once more. This year, we will be taking our food service up a notch, adding our Food Truck outside the venue, where we will offer soups, chili, and blue cornbread. Inside the Coliseum we will serve our Indian Tacos. We also are releasing our newest t-shirt design, and they will be available for sale at the Stronghold Society booth, as well as in both of our restaurant locations throughout the weekend. Our new t-shirts feature the dancer design that was created in collaboration with Buffalo Nickel Creative and can be found on our Food Truck and patio wall at our North Denver restaurant.
About the Denver March Powwow
This year marks the 43rd annual Denver March Powwow. The event will be open from 10 AM through 10 PM March 24-26. There will be Grand Entries on all three days at 11 am, and on Friday and Saturday at 7 PM. The powwow will host more than 1000 dancers from 95 tribes in the United States and Canada. You can also expect to enjoy 35 drum groups, over 180 vendor booths, and award-winning storytellers throughout the weekend. General admission tickets cost $7, tickets for elders 60+ are $3, and children 6 and under are free. It is a wonderful time for the entire family!
Tocabe Brings More Than Just Food
While we are thrilled to be providing our food services at the Denver March Powwow, we are always even more proud when we have staff members who participate in the event. This year, three of our Denver crew members will be dancing in various events. We wish the best of luck and send our support to Jason and Savannah Francis and Elias Her Many Horses. Make sure to click through the image gallery at the top of this post to see our dancing crew members.
We are excited to support our crew members, and the Indian community as a whole on this very special weekend. We love March Powwow for its ability to bring the whole community together each year to celebrate and share culture and fun. We hope to see you there – make sure to stop by and grab a bite from us while you enjoy this special annual event!
